Hotel De France is an impressively grand hotel in the French belle epoque style, with spacious public areas inside and a sweeping spiral staircase. It rises above St Helier, Jersey’s capital, offering an overview of the town as well as easy access to the boutique shops, cafes, bars and restaurants of St Helier along with museums and other sights. Nearby are the Jersey Museum, the Maritime Museum and Elizabeth Castle as well as the Georgian House museum at 16 New Street, beautifully restored to give an insight into Regency life on the island. Not too far away is the lovely beach and seafront of St Aubin’s Bay, which stretches all the way to the pretty harbour village of St Aubin.

Hotel De France has a real focus on luxury wellbeing with the outstanding Ayush Wellnesss Spa offering authentic Ayurvedic treatments, the state of the art Healthhaus health club and hydrotherapy suite. The wonderful Indian influenced cuisine of the hotel’s Saffrons restaurant extends that focus with an emphasis on nutrion, with beautifully presented food which is as healthy as it is delicious. There’s also the less formal brasserie style Garden View Restaurant which does a fantastic afternoon tea which you can enjoy on the terrace, their Sunday brunch menu is also highly recommended.

St Helier is a great location from which to discover the rest of Jersey too. Travel up the east of the island to the picturesque bays at Gorey and Rozel, or inland to the famous Jersey Zoo or to La Hougue Bie, one of the ten oldest buildings in the world. There’s also the Jersey War Tunnels and, to the west, the beautiful beaches at St Brelade’s and Beauport as well as Corbiere Lighthouse. The north is home to some wonderful rugged coastline, Plemont and Greve De Lecq are particularly lovely.

The combined weight of your cabin baggage and smaller personal item must not exceed 10kg. 1 x 23kg hold luggage is also included per passenger with Blue Islands.
