Description

The Merton Resort Hotel has something for everyone, adults and children alike, and sits just to the east of St Helier, Jersey’s capital. The hotel is within walking distance of the boutique shops, cafes, bars and restaurants of St Helier along with museums and other sights, including the Jersey Museum, the Maritime Museum and Elizabeth Castle as well as the Georgian House museum at 16 New Street, beautifully restored to give an insight into Regency life on the island. A few minutes’ walk away is the sea front and lido at Havre des Pas, or a 30 minute walk along the coast is the lovely Green Island Beach.

The Merton is best known for its exclusive pool and leisure club, the Aquadome, no other hotel in Jersey has anything quite like it. It’s an exciting subtropical paradise with slides, fountains, sauna and steam room and a heated outside pool. The hotel offers lots of activities for kids of all ages, there are events for teenagers, the kids zone for 4-12 year olds and Georgie’s Creche & Playroom. Perfect for parents who want to spend time at the hotel’s fitness centre or on the multi-sport ball court.

The Merton features six restaurants, cafes and bars with something to suit every taste. There’s the Belvedere for hearty breakfasts, delicious dinners & Sunday lunch, Bonetti’s for a menu packed with Italian classics and seasonal dishes using fresh and local produce, or enjoy a slice of American retro at Jersey Joe’s, serving burgers, milkshakes and ice cream sundaes. Not to mention poolside snacks and refreshments at Cascades, the latest sports action at the Commentary Box Sports Bar, and afternoon teas, bar snacks & evening piano entertainment in The Lobby Bar.

The Merton is in an ideal  location from which to discover the rest of Jersey too. Travel up the east of the island to the picturesque bays at Gorey and Rozel, or inland to the famous Jersey Zoo or to La Hougue Bie, one of the ten oldest buildings in the world. There’s also the Jersey War Tunnels and, to the west, the beautiful beaches at St Brelade’s and Beauport as well as Corbière Lighthouse. The north is home to some wonderful rugged coastline, Plemont and Greve De Lecq are particularly lovely.
