Description

Originally a stone built farmhouse, nestled among landscaped gardens, the award-winning Le Friquet is the very definition of a peaceful countryside location. With its outdoor pool, sun lounge and friendly service, not to mention one of the most popular restaurants in Guernsey, you may find yourself reluctant to leave its grounds! However, its location at the heart of the island make it a great base to explore. Guernsey’s bus service is very good and there’s a stop very nearby, or if you feel like a stroll, it’s around a 40 minute walk to the charming town of St Peter Port, with its cobbled streets, restaurants, shops and museums.

The Lobster and Grill Restaurant is widely acclaimed for its superb a la Carte menu, serving fresh local produce with an emphasis on seafood. It’s a friendly and relaxed environment inside, with the option to dine al fresco, Guernsey’s sunny climate makes this a popular choice so you may need to book ahead. Eddie’s Bar offers a daily changing cocktail menu and a fantastic selection of wines, beers and spirits. It’s open all day and leads out on to the patio, the heated swimming pool and private gardens.

The landscape of Guernsey is surprisingly varied for its size and there’s plenty to see and do around the island, from beautiful beaches, cliffside walks and country rambles, to historic buildings and museums like the German Occupation Museum, Guernsey Folk and Costume Museum, Castle Cornet or Hauteville House – the historic home of Victor Hugo.
