Description

St Brelade’s Bay Hotel is an elegant presence right on the beachfront of the bay itself. From its beginnings in the 19th Century the hotel has been expanded and refurbished over the years and its combination of historic charm and modern facilities has firmly established it as one of Jersey’s best loved hotels. The beach is ideal for sunbathing but it’s also the best place on the island for watersport activities with equipment hire right there. You may just want to spend all your time in the hotel’s beautiful gardens or the outdoor pool, but there are some wonderful coastal walks and local sights to explore and the hotel is just a short walk from another lovely bay, at Le Portelet, as well as the pretty harbour village of St Aubin. A short distance away is the Jersey Lavender Farm, also nearby to the west is Corbière Lighthouse, and both are stops along the peaceful Railway Walk.

The Bay Restaurant prides itself on its exceptional standard of service with a wide choice of food from simple, light dishes to modern Jersey inspired dishes using locally sourced, quality produce. Seafood is always recommended in Jersey but there are also vegetarian and vegan options as well as gluten free. The Cocktail Bar boasts an impressive bar menu and hosts entertainment most nights during the high season, and in the summer there’s also the more casual Petit Port Café for those who appreciate how much better food tastes outdoors. The fitness and wellbeing facilities at St Brelade’s Bay Hotel are second to none, with a health club featuring a state of the art gym complete with a 20 metre swimming pool, luxury changing rooms, group exercise studio, spa pool and steam room. As with everything here, the personal touch is what makes it special, whether it’s the skilled therapists providing spa treatments or the personal trainers at the gym or studio based classes. You’re advised to book in advance for some of these, so if you’re interested just let us know after we confirm your holiday and we can give you all the info you need. St Brelade’s Bay Hotel is very family friendly too and there are loads of activities for kids of all age groups, in the games room, at the pool or the play area as well as on the beach and the hotel can also arrange babysitting.

The island’s capital, St Helier, is just over 20 minutes away, it’s home to boutique shops, cafes, bars and restaurants along with museums and other sights, such as the Jersey Museum, the Maritime Museum and Elizabeth Castle. Beyond St Helier, up the east of the island are the picturesque bays at Gorey and Rozel. Or travel inland to the famous Jersey Zoo, to La Hougue Bie, one of the ten oldest buildings in the world, to the Jersey War Tunnels or to St Lawrence Valley, maintained by National Trust, Jersey and featuring some truly idyllic country walks. Alternatively, head up to the north west of the island where there is some wonderful rugged coastline, Plemont and Greve De Lecq are particularly lovely.
