This gracious Georgian house has an attractive sheltered garden and flower filled terraces, and is just a short stroll from the town centre of St Peter Port, Guernsey's picturesque capital
Hotel de Havelet is an elegant Georgian house with delightful gardens and lovely terraces. Nestling just above St Peter Port, Guernsey's charming capital, the hotel and restaurants overlook the harbour, Castle Cornet and Guernsey’s neighbouring Channel Islands. The hotel is only a short stroll from the picturesque marinas and seafront of the town, not to mention Guernsey's most fascinating museums, and it’s also handy for some of the island’s best restaurants.
Hotel guests can relax in the indoor pool, complete with sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi or unwind in the elegant lounge, which even has an open fire for chilly evenings. Hotel de Havelet is home to two of St. Peter Port’s most popular restaurants: The Wellington Boot Restaurant and Copenhagen Bar and Grill Restaurant, both located in the hotel's converted coach house. Both enjoy lovely views out over Havelet Bay. The Copenhagen is perfect for afternoon tea or cocktails on the attractive terrace overlooking the bay, and the Wellington Boot is renowned for its extensive a la carte menu featuring local produce including Guernsey fish and seafood.
Hotel de Havelet is an excellent base to explore the island of Guernsey, from beautiful beaches, cliffside walks and country rambles, to historic buildings and museums like the German Occupation Museum, Guernsey Folk and Costume Museum, Guernsey Museum at Candie or Hauteville House – the historic home of Victor Hugo.
